This 11 1/2" across round hammered aluminum tray is by Farberware. This was made in the late 1940's-early 1950's, using leftover aluminum from the WWII airplane construction. The depressed well in the center is 5 1/2" across, and the wide border has poppies and leaves on it. On the back of the tray is "Wrought Farberware Bklyn, NY" This was probably part of a set of matching dishes or serving ware, and may have originally had a bowl or dish that was placed in the center.
