Produced through the late 50s and early 60s, this iconic kawaii cottage core sofubi vintage was popularized by the music video, "Pity Party" from the Crybaby album, by Melanie Martinez. This green jacket version is rarer than the yellow jacket version. This bear has a long, soft squeak sound when squeezed, and when laid on his back, his left eye will close. Right eye prob could. Its in a metal housing and needs oil. Head is positional/rotates manually.
This vintage toy is in great shape for its age at almost 80! The squeaker still works great and it fills with air again right away. Small flaws common of vintage rubber toys; two small holes in left paw, lashes missing/light flaw on left eye. The hole on his paw makes air come out when squeezed, but when plugged it doesn't change the power of the sound - its just a slight visual flaw
This toy has been in my family since it was new. Stored only in climate-controlled and smoke free environments. Packed and shipped with loving care.
