Antique Large Ironstone SYDNEY of England Ceramic Pottery White Pitcher

This is a unique ironstone pitcher made by Sydney of England in the mid 1850's. The maker's mark is clear and bold on the bottom. These pitchers were originally used for bathing.

It is a type of collectible item, often used as home decor or as a vase. There is beautiful embossing around the top and at the base. A fleur de lis pattern is embossed at the top and repeated at the top of the bulbous area of the top of the pitcher. There is a complimenting pattern embossed around the bottom.

****There is some paint on the handle that you may be able to remove. Natural crazing and marks may be present consistent with age and use.*** Please zoom in on pictures as part of the item description and condition; sold as is. Props, if any, are not included. Will ship by the next business day. I use recycled materials, if possible, which allows me to offer lower prices. Smoke-free home.
