Antique loom bobbins from Concord Mills before it was demolished.

These bobbins came out of one of North Carolina's biggest and oldest material fabricators of their time. There was actually a time that Concord Mills employed almost half of the town and supplied them with a means to support their family. I remember when I first started plumbing some 30 years ago and going into the old Concord Mills building. By then it had been out of commission for several years and was it a state of disrepair and too costly to turn into housing or anything really. But it was still a wonderful story as well as a memory. But I ended up finding these three bobbins in the basement as we were removing old pipe in the foreman should go ahead and take him home, and I did just that.
