Exquisite Jose Cotel Paris 1960’s grosgrain purse, silver and goldtone hardware

Amazingly preserved Jose Cotel Paris early 1960’s purse/clutch evening bag featuring classic black grosgrain weave outer design, inner charcoal color silk lining, with one side open pocket where the label “Jose Cotel Paris Modele Depose Made in France” is attached. Dimensions: 9” long, 5” tall, an inch or 2 thick. Double stranded handle drop is 7 1/2” and the longer over your shoulder handle drop is 12 3/4”. Weight is about 8 ounces. The hardware is shiny and unscratched. The silvered balls provide balance and style as well as the two ball twist closure at the top of the bag. The the gold colored chain link is laced with the same black grosgrain fabric as the outer covering. Wonderfully elegant and a period piece to Midcentury evening attire of the 1960’s. This is a 60 year old or so vintage purse/clutch in mint condition. Price at this super low level is now FIRM.
