LEVI'S S501XX 1955 model: From Levi's Vintage Clothing, the much-anticipated 501XX 1955 model (rigid), made in Japan with Kaihara fabric, is here! The Second World War ended, peace returned, and America in the 1950s was full of energy. Jeans were freed from various restrictions, and for Levi's, a masterpiece that would be remembered for generations was born.
This is the 501XX 1955 model, highly regarded among enthusiasts.
Main features include the Big "E" red tab that changed from one-sided to double-sided embroidery, the "diamond point" Arcuete stitch using yellow cotton thread called "banana yellow," the early-type paper patch with the copy "Every Garment Guaranteed" (guaranteeing the quality of all products), a coin pocket with red selvedge, hidden rivets, punched rivets, and a single-stitch top of the waist with a one-stroke sewing including the patch, ending with a bar tack.
The change to the paper patch was due to the background of the times, considering shrinkage with the spread of dryers at the time.
The details are said to be the best among all the 501s in America.
