This is an 1867 Hong Kong-Shanghai "One Tael" pattern Fantasy coin.

a genuine one is proposed currency that was ultimately rejected.
It was a project by the Hong Kong Mint to create a unified national currency for the Chinese Empire, but Shanghai lacked modern minting facilities at the time.
The design featured the British Royal Emblem (the coat of arms of England, Scotland, and Ireland).
The coin design was rejected by the Chinese government due to an excess of British motifs following the Opium Wars.
The "Shanghai" inscription was intended to denote a weight standard equal to a Caoping One Tael, which was approximately 36.7 grams of silver but the coin is not in Silver as I tested it.
