★What is Ata?
A type of fern, it is a famous craft from Tenganan Village in Bali, where the long stems are split lengthwise and carefully woven.
The process involves weaving → sun-drying → coloring → shade-drying, and is completed with great care.
It has a unique scent (due to being smoked with coconut broth) and is also insect-repellent and mold-resistant.
