He traveled around the islands of Okinawa on a motorcycle, photographing about 3,000 people he met, saying, "It's really good, let me take your picture~" and "That's interesting, isn't it!"
The situation of having this person in front of him and the desire to know this person. From the idea that social situations and people cannot be separated, he tries to incorporate the background into the screen. Rather than trying to capture the essence or a certain aspect of the person, it is "everything in this very moment," a portrait that tries to accept the person through the eyes.
The portraits taken in Okinawa, of Okinawa, by Okinawans, are open, saying "This is who I am," and the waves of life come crashing in.
