Published on the occasion of the "Robert Frank: Books and Films, 1947-2016" exhibition held at the Tokyo University of the Arts in 2016. This exhibition, planned by the photography master Robert Frank and Gerhard Steidl, the founder of the world-renowned art publisher STEIDL, looked back at Robert Frank's activities to date. The exhibition toured 50 cities worldwide, and at the Tokyo exhibition, students from the Tokyo University of the Arts participated in the planning and operation of the event. The catalog is a special edition of the German newspaper "Süddeutsche Zeitung," designed in a standard format and printed on recycled newsprint. Organizer: Steidl, Visual Communication Design Laboratory, Department of Design, Tokyo University of the Arts.
