Vintage Ceramic Pot c1950s Beautiful Colours, Polyanthus By Hartrox Castleford

This beautiful vintage ceramic bowl by Hartrox is a fab example of English mid-century studio pottery. It has a beautiful floral pattern in soft shades of blue, yellow and green, and is known as the Polyanthus Bowl. The inside of the bowl is also glazed. The piece was handmade and has the maker's stamp on the base, which says, "Hartrox Earthenware Castleford", with painted initials and reference number. The polyanthus bowl has a unique abstract floral design and is perfect for decorative purposes. It is in very good condition, with no chips or cracks. There are some tiny raised specks in the glaze in some areas. These are part of the original firing of the glaze. They are not very obvious but I have tried to show them in the photos.
