Vintage carved and painted wooden Santa sleigh with reindeer, made in Germany. This miniature figure measures approximately 4 inches long and is a classic Erzgebirge Putz-style Christmas decoration, intended for tabletop or village displays.
Features Santa driving a blue sleigh pulled by a pair of pink reindeer. There is a white sack in the sled.
Carved from wood and finished in bright traditional colors, the sleigh is pulled by a pair of reindeer. The bottom is marked “Germany” and there is a blue floral motif on the side.
Based on construction, materials, and style, this piece likely dates to the early–mid 20th century.
Condition: Good vintage condition with age-appropriate paint wear. Observed flaws: string harness is missing, and one reindeer is missing an antler and a back leg, which is common for these pieces. See photos. Despite these flaws, the piece still displays very well.
