Vintage Hermes ‘Giverny’ 100% silk scarf in the blue colourway. In the original box with original ribbon. This scarf has never been worn just kept safe and occasionally looked at by my Mum who treasured it but has now passed away. It measures 90cm x 90cm. Is a tribute to the enchanting gardens of Giverny, associated with artist Claude Monet. It was purchased by my mother during a visit to Giverny itself. Made in France in circa 1989, from a bit of research I think the artist was Toutsy, AKA Laurence Bourthoumieux. This French artist was responsible for a number of exceptional Hermes scarves. She has signed her work as L.T. for Laurence Thioune (her maiden name?) Please note the original box does show some signs of age. Please see the images.
