Vintage Japan Demitasse Tea Cup & Saucer Dutch Windmill Baby Blue Eyes Flower

For your consideration is this lovely demitasse cup and saucer set made in Japan. The two did not originally come with one another, but they match beautifully. The cup is simply marked in red "MADE IN JAPAN". The saucer is marked "Hand Painted / (red logo with tree and hill of clovers in a circle) / MADE IN OCCUPIED / JAPAN". The first mark, Made in Japan, was used by many different manufacturers. The saucer mark is noted as unidentified in Made In Japan Ceramics by Carol Bess.The cup has a gold gilt band around the top and bottom rims as well as the handle. Most of the gold is still crisp and clean, but there is a tiny amount of loss. There is a five petal blue flower that looks very much like the Nemophila or Baby Blue Eyes flowers that adorn Japan's Hitachi Seaside park during their season.
