Vintage Italy Sacred Heart Swivel Locket on gold non-magnetic chain (poss. gold filled?). Beautiful gold plated locket with enameled blue cross & ruby red stars. Inside of the locket is the Lady Madonna, and on the other side, the reverse side of a Miraculous Medal, a significant devotional item in the Catholic faith. The large letter "M" stands for Mary, the Mother of God. The cross above the "M" represents Christ's sacrifice. The two hearts below are the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The 12 stars surrounding the image represent the Twelve Apostles and the vision of the Woman Clothed with the Sun from the Book of Revelation.
