Verlys glass was originally made in France beginning in 1931. Verlys of America was established in 1935 and glass was produced in the Holophane Lighting Co. factory in Newark, Ohio, mainly in the pre-war years. The French production and the Verlys of America production is usually signed. Heisey leased certain Verlys molds from mid 1955--mid 1957. The Heisey production always unsigned.
This one is signed.
