This beautiful vintage handbag was made in the 1940’s from Whiting & Davis.
'Alumesh' - is the term for the white/cream colored enamel on light weight aluminum diamond shaped mesh.
This classy handbag has a loose unstructured shape, made with tubular rolled metal mesh (Alumesh).
It has double handles and zippered top with chain pull that opens and closes.
The inside is lined with dark purple grosgrain and has an open slit pocket in one side.
There is a Blue & White Whiting& Davis label attached.
In fantastic vintage condition, no missing metal.
Just a small area that has loose stitching on the inside at the top that can be tightened up.
