For your consideration is this vintage handbag produced by Whiting and Davis International and made in China. Advertisements on Newspapers online document repository show the name "Whiting and Davis International" being used from 1985 until 1997. I was able to match this piece up to an advertisement posted in 1985. This handbag is of mesh construction in the color of black. It is a fold-over clutch held secure with magnetic snap closure made by a UK company (UK Patent GB1519246A, published in 1978). There is a detachable drop-in shoulder strap with a hang of 21.5 inches. The handbag measures 9 inches long x 6.75 inches high x 2 inches in depth. The lining feels to be grosgrain textured shiny polyester with "Whiting and Davis / International™" signature printed on it. There is an inner zippered pocket that can fit a flat object up to 5.75 inches long. The clutch features a center divider and accordian vinyl sides.
