Beautiful vintage Hakata Urasaki Doll, Japan. "Doll" is more of a figurine or statue, not a play doll. Depicts an old man playing a Japanese Lute or Biwa. All hand painted with great detail. I only just noticed while taking the photos, that his finger on the neck of the instrument is cracked with a chip out of it and the finger next to it is also cracked. I would glue it but possibly if left as it can be touched up with paint, will leave it up to the buyer to decide what kind of repair is appropriate.
