For your consideration is this lovely musical figurine made in Japan. I was unable to ascertain who produced the porcelain portion. The musical movement was made by Sankyo. It is a 20-Note cylinder, numbered GE, and plays "Love Is A Many Splendored Thing". Andy Williams sang this song and the instrumental piece was used in the movie Grease. Visual inspection of the piece revealed a tiny fleabite on the momma bird's wing. The flower appears to have no chips but it was glued onto the piece. Considering there are no chips, I believe this to have been adhered during the manufacturing process. The entire piece measures 3.6 inches in diameter (base) x 7 inches tall. I have cleaned and lubricated the musical movement and it plays beautifully. It is lever activated. Great item for Bird Watchers.
